Buying Live Fish and Live Plants

Please note that we can NOT ship Live fish to TASMANIA and NT. We also can not ship live plants incl Tissue Cultures to WA.

One of the common questions we get asked is how do you ship live fish all over Australia?

All our live fish are shipped with a Premium Service and are normally shipped on Monday’s, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Your order must be in by Sunday Night 10:00 pm Queensland time to be able to be dispatched in the next shipping run which starts on Monday and finishes on Wednesday every week.  Orders which fall out of this time frame will be held over to the next week shipping.

Aquaholics provides a flat rate shipping of fish of $35.00 per order, whether you buy 1 or 100 fish the charge will be $35.00 Conditions apply. *

Aquaholics takes great care in making sure that your fish is in good health. Please note that the pictures on our website indicate the colouring of a full-grown male.  We sell all our fish unsexed so we cannot guarantee males or females and their colouring.

Once your order has been dispatched, our courier partners will send you an email with the tracking number so you can check the progress of your delivery.  Please note that tracking takes place on our couriers’ partners website and we cannot control possible delays.

Your fish will be carefully packed, in square bottom fish bags, with freshwater. We then inject 100% pure oxygen into the bag and close it off. We then place them in a Styrofoam box

*For WA Customers, Please note that the WA Quarantine Department can check your shipment of live fish and bill the customer for this and/or seize the goods.

We do not ship live to NT and TAS customers due to quarantine restrictions.

We offer our customers a 100% live fish arrival guarantee.  In the event that you have DOA or missing fish, please follow the instructions in the box.  We will then arrange a credit or a refund for you through our system. Please note that we do not re-ship DOA fish.
