Peacock Bass 25-30CM

The Peacock Bass is a magnificent predator fish with its distinct colouring, aggressive feeding habits yet friendly behaviour and size.  This fish is a sight to behold with multiple colouring across the body and head.  The body area is yellow whilst the underbelly is white.  The dorsal fins are black and the tail fin transitions from Yellow to red.

The peacock bass is naturally found in the main river branches of the Amazon River and Rio Negro and likes to hunt in the calmer water.  This particular size fish will eat most fish which are the size of its mouth so it can not be introduced in a tank with smaller fish.
