RED EMPRESS CICHLID - 5CM

The Red Empress is born silver and young juveniles and females will show a thick black line running along the centre of its body. As the male matures it will develop the most intense red to the edges of its scales and a green/blue metallic head. The males as they mature will lose the black line and will develop white tips along the dorsal. The Red Empress is a late bloomer, which we refer to as a fish which shows the real colouring of the male later than normal.
