Pennywort has a fresh, green leaf, and is well suited to both aquariums and the edge of ponds. Although it is slow growing, the attractive flowers that it develops once it reaches the water surface make it worth the wait. For optimal growth, Green Pennywort requires good lighting and a nutrient rich substrate such as gravel. This plant is suitable for cooler climates, as it can tolerate cooler temperatures periodically. Once established, it can be propagated through cuttings.
