The Biopro/Hopar Aquarium range of UV Clarifier has been designed to eliminate water-born floating algae which turn your aquarium water green and starves it of oxygen. Algae as well as plants compete with fish for the oxygen that is available. The oxygen is only produced in “the daytime” hours and reducing the algae ensures there is enough oxygen during the night to keep your aquarium healthy. During nightfall, when oxygen demand is at its highest, the fish will not have to compete with algae during this oxygen-consuming period of photosynthesis. As a result, there is less stress on the fish which will further reduce the risk of disease and infection.
